If I could do anything and be paid $1,000,000 a year for it I would want to be a teacher. Ever since I was young, I have always wanted to be a teacher. The idea of working with kids and teaching them sounds like fun to me. Whenever I was bored, my sister and I would always go into our basement and we would play school. Most of the time I would play the role of the teacher and Megan would play the role of the student. Sometimes Megan was the teacher and I was the student, I hated playing it this way so much! Although, most of the time when we played school I would be the teacher and Megan would be what we called the "helper" teacher.
When I was in eighth grade, Matt, my brother told me about a club at Roncalli-FEA-Future Educators of America. He told me about what they did and I was really excited about it. This year, I joined FEA. My favorite part about this club, is every few months you get to go to Pinewood, an elementary school, to help out the teachers and sometimes you get a chance to interact with the students.
My Mom used to be a teacher, because of this she had so many posters, activity books, worksheets, ect. left over. I thought that all of this stuff was the coolest thing in the world. For Christmas one year, I got a gradebook. I made up a class list and would use my mom's leftover worksheets and activity books to make assignments and tests. Then, I would 'grade' all of these assignments and tests and put the grades into the grade book I had. At school, sometimes at the end of the year the teachers would sell old books for 25 cents, whenever the teachers sold these books I always had to get one or two of them. After I had gotten these books I would make up my own notes, worksheets, and tests based off of the chapters in these books. I always had so much fun doing this!
In conclusion, if I could do anything for $1,000,000 I would be a teacher. This has been my dream ever since I can remeber.
